“Halidom Eatery will take up about 13,000 square feet with 11 food stalls, a bar and a private events space, the spokesperson said. Philadelphia-based Eimer Design is the architect for the food hall and is outfitting it with a "South Beach art deco" motif. Atlanta-based Terra Alma Real Estate Group is set to begin leasing for the food hall this spring.

The word "halidom" is 12th-century Middle English and translates to "sanctuary."

Our Involvement:

terra alma is engaged to advise and evaluate vendors for Halidom Eatery, a new mixed-use space in the Woodland Hills area of Atlanta. The well-designed eatery is a street-level addition to the Halidom office development at 1341 Moreland Avenue. At completion, the development will include a 6,400-square-foot retail building and an 89-unit luxury apartment building, with 202 surface parking spaces for easy customer access.

Inspired by South Beach's art deco style, the space is designed with an elegant, over-the-top themed atmosphere featuring 11 food stalls, eight vented and two non-vented, totaling 13,000 square feet of dining and retail space.

“Halidom Eatery creates a unique amenity for the Halidom mixed-use development and surrounding community,” said Edie Weintraub, Founder and Chief Community Builder of terra alma. “We are looking for a wide range of best-in-class vendors for the space.”

At completion, Halidom Eatery will feature various food options, including standard food hall fare such as burgers and pizza, but also include unique dining options in vegan, Asian and Latin fare that is sorely missing from the surrounding area. The space will also have a stylish coffee bar and a chic bar area.

The Woodland Hills community, proximate to Grant Park and Candler Park, is quickly becoming a hub for high-end residential living, with 900 apartments and townhomes planned just ¼ mile from Halidom Eatery and the former Moreland shopping center being developed by Empire Communities.

Halidom, located on 6.6 acres along Entrenchment Creek, is designed to be a sanctuary, a live, work, play destination offering a sense of community and a nature preserve along the creek. The Halidom Eatery team is seeking open container permits, allowing customers to take their drinks outside and enjoy the secluded nature area with benches and picnic tables.

The Halidom development is led by CEO Hal Blackmon and VP of Marketing and Real Estate Bradley Burgess with LSC Management Services.

“We brought Edie Weintraub with terra alma on to curate the restaurants after our pivot to a food hall. Edie is well-known for her passion, energy, and ability to create relationships. She is the perfect fit to curate the food hall,” said Burgess.

Construction is set to begin in mid-March, with an expected fall 2023 grand opening.
